At Generation Kiz, we integrate diverse worldwide styles, making sure you’re prepared for social dancing. Kizomba, specifically Urban Kiz, is central to our philosophy and involves understanding body language and building trust. Our classes cultivate community, respect and authenticity. They cater to a new generation of adaptable dancers navigating the ever-changing dance scene.

The term ‘Generation’ reflects our mission to positively influence those around us, to nurture dancers, and to radiate respect and authenticity. Join Generation Kiz for a transformative dance journey, expressing yourself through the language of movement.

The Core Values

To unleash your inner dancer. Everyone is unique in their way of expression and dancing. At Generation Kiz we focus on helping you find your own way of dancing, while still staying true to the fundamentals of each specific dance style. In general, we will help you to use dance as a tool to find your authentic self.

In our lives, and also on the dance floor, we will constantly encounter different people with different styles. We focus on being able to adjust to these differences. To adjust to different partners, colleagues, music, and vibes.

We believe that, regardless of our role or position, we need to be treated equally and with respect. We think being able to walk in someone’s shoes makes us a better team player, be it in (partner) dance or in our daily lives. We believe in an equal and respectful scene for both followers and leaders. Our aim is to give both roles equal attention during our teaching.

Meet the Teachers

Being a teacher is not about creating a show or acting in front of a group. We believe that being a teacher is about being and showing your authentic self, building trust, and creating a safe space for everyone to develop. All of our teachers are trained in dance and pedagogy. They learn to understand the psychology behind teaching and learning. We train together and learn from other teachers to give you the best possible workshops and classes.
